DOG has been playing in the backyard when he meets Gregoire, a groundhog who only comes up out of his burrow when he is not able to see his shadow. Like many groundhogs, Gregoire has a fear of his own shadow. However, this fear does not mean that Gregoire is unhappy with his life or misses out on the things he likes to do. He is perfectly content to know that he is not as fearless as he could be, and he works around his own limitations.

Many times, we think we must be fearless in order to have a good life, but this is not true. Having fear, even irrational fear, does not mean that our lives are less happy or less productive. So learn to understand your fears, even if you cannot always overcome them.
