Homemade Cornflakes: 3 Ingredient Recipes

Have you ever wondered how to make homemade cornflakes? While they’re not difficult to make, it’s a lot of work, a lot of patience, and you get a very small amount every time you start a new pan. And the result is….just like boxed cornflakes! However, if this is a challenge you’d like to set yourself, you can make delicious, healthy and homemade cornflakes right on your stove, and as always, our recipe only requires 3 ingredients!

Homemade Cornflakes

Ingredients:

Corn Meal (enough to cover the bottom of a nonstick pan)
Water (enough to cover the corn meal)
Sugar (to taste, probably just a pinch)

Sprinkle corn meal on the bottom of a nonstick pan until just coated. Pour a small amount of water over the corn meal, just enough to stick the grains together and to spread out over the pan. When the meal and water are spread out evenly in a very thin layer in your pan, sprinkle the top with sugar and cook on medium heat until all the water is evaporated and the meal has clumped into flakes. Flip the flakes over to dry out the other side and cook until crispy, but not browned.

Eat immediately or store in an airtight container.
