Timothy is back from a bit of a break, and to celebrate his return, we’re going to make a nice snack! Potato chips! Homemade potato chips are a very easy treat to make, and if you make them in the microwave, they don’t even take very much time. With just 3 ingredients that most people have in their homes you can make crispy, salty, delicious homemade potato chips at any time.
Microwave Potato Chips
4-5 small potatoes (or 1-3 large potatoes)
1-3 teaspoons vegetable oil
Salt to taste
Slice the potatoes very thinly on a mandolin or with a sharp knife, and place in ice cold water. Rinse the potatoes until the water runs clear, and then pat dry thoroughly with paper towels.
Arrange the potatoes in a single layer on a couple of layers of paper towels and brush with oil on both sides. Salt and cook on high in the microwave in 30 second to 1 minute increments or until crispy. Serve immediately, or store in an airtight container.
