Poached Eggs In Salsa (Shakshuka – Inspired): 3 Ingredient Recipes

Shakshuka is a traditional egg dish that poaches eggs in a tomato and pepper sauce. Since we only have 3 ingredients on this show, we are using a tomato sauce that is as close as you can get off the shelf, and that’s salsa! Blooper and I make a salsa-poached egg dish that is easy to make, hearty, spicy, and perfect as a quick dinner, a hearty breakfast, or an anytime snack. And it’s made with things you probably already have in your kitchen!

Shakshuka-inspired Poached Eggs

Ingredients

3 cups salsa
4 large eggs
3/4 cup feta cheese

Warm up the salsa in an oven-safe skillet. Add some of the feta and stir until melted. Drop in the eggs carefully, holding the whites together as much as possible, then top with the remainder of the feta. Bake in a 400 degree Fahrenheit oven for 12-15 minutes or until the whites are cooked through. Serve hot.
