George finds DOG concentrating very hard on a little egg that he found on the ground. DOG is convinced that the egg will hatch, and he will have his very own baby chick to keep as a friend. However, since DOG does not know where the egg is from, George reminds him not to “count your chickens before they hatch.” Hoping for something is always good, but don’t make plans based on little to no information, or else you might get disappointed. It’s always good to make sure that things happen before you count on them, whether that’s chickens or a raise or anything else in life.
Remember: Be like cat. Be good to self.
