Fwed has just woken up from his hibernation, and boy is he hungry! He wants to eat something healthy and yet still filling, so we’re going to make a great big salad with a special treat on top — homemade croutons! Croutons are easy to make, and they help you out by making use of the stale bread or rolls you may have around your house. You can flavor them with whatever you’d like, and you don’t have to spend money on a box of something that may go stale in your cabinet. Win, win, win!
Homemade Croutons
Ingredients
1/2 loaf bread (stale, any type)
Olive oil (enough to coat all bread cubes)
Seasoning of your choice (we used Italian seasoning)
Cut the bread into evenly-sized cubes. Toss with oil to coat, then toss in seasonings to taste. Place in preheated 375F oven for 10 minutes or until crispy and brown. Cool and serve, or store in airtight container.
