Presto is back! And he wants something with a lot of SUGAR in it! Luckily, we have a lovely French cookie recipe that uses pure white sugar and puff pastry to make a light, delicious cookie that is very fancy to look at, but is simple to make. Palmier cookies only take a few minutes to put together but these cookies (also known as elephant ears) are delicious and very delicate. And as always, they’re only 3 ingredients!
Palmier Cookies (Elephant Ears)
Ingredients
1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed.
1 Tablespoon butter
3/4 cup white sugar
Roll out the thawed puff pastry until it’s a long rectangle. Brush with melted butter and generously sprinkle butter on one side. Fold the pastry four times over itself and seal up the two edges with butter. Place in freezer for 10 minutes to solidify, then cut into 1/2 inch slices and lay down on baking sheet to bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Cool and serve immediately.
